What's your favorite all-around use iPod video case? I have a 30GB model.
I'm looking for something to keep my iPod protected & free of dust & scratches (at least, as much as is possible), but I also use it in the car in a dock as well as in a speaker system's dock. I've been looking at leather cases or other similar ones, & wonder if there's something out there that would work at least partially when docking it (as in, I could either leave the case on the iPod, or only had to remove it partially for the part that sits in the dock.)
Any one have any particular case that is their favorite regardless of what it is or what it's used for?

Re: iPod Cases
Tue, November 7, 2006 - 6:14 PMDon't use the rubber skin tight ones they make the iPod act weird, by acting weird I mean they are too tight and cause the scroll wheel to not work properly or it squeezes the breath out of the iPod and it can't function properly.
From my own personal experience. (iPod Photo)

Mon, December 4, 2006 - 10:06 AMI've been pretty happy with this one. I've accidently dropped my iPod several times on the pavement.
The rubber really protected it. PLUS ! The wheel and ports are all exposed for easy access ! Nice huh?! ;-)

I couldn't own an ipod. In fact I waited a year tillI found a water/dust proof case before I actually bought my first ipod. These cases have since improved dramatically.
Oh, buy them on Amazon, theyre cheaper there. -

Re: iPod Cases
Sat, January 6, 2007 - 7:22 PMI just picked up one of these, and it works excellently:

If by "dock" you mean insert the docking cable, this will work. But if by "dock" you mean stand up in a docking slot, I would think that ANY case might prohibit this from happening unless it's a very thin case.

Re: iPod Cases
Sun, January 7, 2007 - 8:07 AMI have a black "InCase" - www.goincase.com/ - for my 30GB video ipod - it's well built, but frustrating to use the touchpad. The clear plastic that covers the wheel is too thick.... I tried cutting it out with a razor but couldn't get it quite right. Other than that flaw, it's a nice case. But it's a pretty big flaw... I'm actually looking for something newer and better now.
